As an owner, developer, builder, salesperson and analyst, Alston has dealt with many aspects of the real estate world.  He has lived a good part of his life on farms and ranches, so he understands the special qualities of rural land. He’s fluent in Spanish, serving since 1991 with MEDICO as an interpreter for medical teams in remote parts of Central America.  He also speaks French, though not as fluently as Spanish.

As the former Economic Director of a financial advisory company, his knowledge of the economy is often extremely valuable in real estat. He prepares and updates economic charts and reports for the benefit of our clients, including a newsletter on the Austin real estate market and reports in English and Spanish on our national economy.

Barbara’s ancestors came to Austin in the late 1850s. Her father Col. J.E. Roberts had a passion for real estate, so it runs in her blood. She knows all of Central Texas better than almost anyone. She grew up in Tarrytown, attended UT-Austin, earning a BFA in art, and an MFA from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. She taught at Texas State University, then married and raised her family in West Lake Hills with her husband, then a prominent Austin developer. She was a founding member and the first director of the Umlauf Sculpture Garden from 1988 to 1991, and became licensed by the Texas Real Estate Commission as a Salesperson in 1992. She specializes in relocation, equestrian properties, residential properties, farm & ranch, and luxury properties.

Maury grew up in Austin and in real estate. After graduating from the University of Texas, she enjoyed a career as an RN in clinical trials, first in hospital-based pain management studies, then in community-based HIV trials. She switched her area of focus and became a psychiatric nurse at the Austin State Hospital, which serves 38 counties. Feeling a call to real estate where she could still assist clients through major life changes and use more of her creative talents she joined Boyd & Boyd Properties, LLC in 2004. She loves being able to educate clients about Austin and the Hill Country, real estate, and the market while acting as a client advocate. She also enjoys creating targeted campaigns and marketing pieces for clients. She loves the team environment at Boyd & Boyd Properties, where the combined efforts of Alston, Barbara and herself lead to repeated client success and happiness.

She lives in Hyde Park with her husband Paul, and enjoys traveling and showing off the many great things Austin and the Hill Country have to offer.

Mauricio was born and raised in Mexico City, Mexico, in a bilingual and bicultural environment. After completing his High School studies in Mexico, he moved to San Antonio, where his family was involved in construction. He then embarked to San Diego California to continue with his higher education studies, and married his wife Debbie.
After completing his degree, he co-founded a trans-national lumber distribution company in San Diego which flourished during the 90’s through out most of the USA-Mexico border, and which gave him the necessary experience for conducting international transactions. In 2005 he took advantage of the housing market bubble in Southern California, and before it burst, he decided to relocate his family to the Texas Hill Country, where his maternal side of the family is originally from.

Due to the fact that he comes from a long line of architects, Mauricio has always been fascinated with structures, habitable spaces, houses, buildings and land. So it was just natural that he entered the Real Estate arena as soon as he had the opportunity to do so. Mauricio has always been very conscious about energy efficiency and environmental issues, which lead him to become certified as a Green Property Advisor (GPA).

Mauricio has embraced the challenge of today's fast-paced environment and has parlayed his own network, which together with the Boyd & Boyd network, is now an invaluable tool with contacts on both sides of the border.
